SUI Token Rockets 72% on Pokémon Partnership Speculation
Sui’s native token, SUI, surged 72% this week amid rumors of a potential collaboration with Pokémon. The speculation began after Pokémon HOME’s updated privacy policy referenced Parasol Technologies, a company recently acquired by Mysten Labs—the team behind Sui.
Evidence of the partnership briefly appeared on the SUI Foundation blog, confirming but later removing mentions of Pokémon NFTs. The project reportedly focuses on blockchain-based cloud infrastructure to combat bugs, hacks, and duping while enabling cross-game transfers—a feature already in limited testing.
The April 23 update to Pokémon HOME’s privacy policy, which facilitates Pokémon transfers between games, included the key Parasol Technologies reference that fueled market excitement.
